Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival and reception at Mexico City Airport.

You will arrive at the Mexico City International Airport where our team will greet you and transfer you to the hotel you have selected. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy at your leisure.

Please note that check-in time is from 1:00 pm.

Optional:

If your flight arrival time permits, you could plan a visit to Xochimilco Lake and Coyoacan on this day. Alternatively, if you arrive before 8:00 pm, you could enjoy a night show at Plaza Garibaldi, where you can listen to Mariachi music and taste local cuisine.

Day 2

Tour of Mexico City's Historic Center with a visit to the Anthropology Museum.

Breakfast.

You will begin your tour admiring the majestic architecture of the Palace of Fine Arts, strolling along the pedestrian street of Francisco Madero, and visiting the iconic Constitution Square, also known as Zócalo.

The Metropolitan Cathedral will be another of your destinations, where you can admire its beautiful altarpieces and distinctive architecture. Then, you will have a panoramic view of the Templo Mayor, the ruins of the ancient capital of the Aztec empire of Tenochtitlan.

The tour continues at the Anthropology Museum, where you will learn about the famous Aztec Room and the history of this great Mexican civilization. Along the way to the museum, you can also appreciate the majesty of Reforma Avenue and its monuments, such as the Angel of Independence, the Columbus Monument, Cuauhtémoc (last Aztec emperor), and Diana the Huntress.

Day 3

Tour to Puebla and Cholula from Mexico City.

Breakfast.

Once you are picked up at your accommodation in Mexico City, you will head towards the city of Cholula to enjoy impressive views of the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes, weather permitting. Upon arriving in the beautiful city of Cholula, you will climb the largest pyramid in Latin America and visit the Church of Our Lady of Remedies, located at the top of the pyramid.

Afterwards, you will continue the experience in the town of Tonanzintla to admire its church with particular architecture, built by the indigenous people and designed with Christian thinking during the 16th century. Then, you will proceed towards the center of Puebla, where you will have time to enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant and walk to admire the highlights of the city, such as the Cathedral, the Rosary Chapel, the beautiful streets, the French and colonial-style buildings, and of course, the traditional Talavera handicrafts.

At the end of the tour, you will return to Mexico City and be taken to your accommodation or agreed meeting point.

Day 4

Tour to Basilica of Guadalupe and Teotihuacan from Mexico City.

Breakfast.

The experience begins with a walk through the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where you will visit the church of Santiago de Tlatelolco, contemplate the ruins of a pre-Hispanic city, and visit the monument in honor of the 1968 student movement.

Next, you will continue to the Basilica of Guadalupe complex, where you will climb the sacred Tepeyac Hill (where the Virgin Mary appeared to the Indian Juan Diego) to see the Chapel of the Roses and enjoy a beautiful view of Mexico City. You will also visit the Chapel of the Indians, the Chapel of the Well, and the Modern Basilica, where Juan Diego's sacred cloak is kept.

Finally, you will head to the State of Mexico to visit the archaeological complex of Teotihuacan, where you will explore part of the archaeological site and learn about the important history of this magnificent pre-Hispanic city. Although climbing the Sun and Moon pyramids is not allowed, you can admire them up close and appreciate their majesty.

In addition, you will visit a craft center to taste Pulque, one of the oldest drinks in Mexico.

Day 5

Cuernavaca and Taxco Tour from Mexico City

Breakfast.

Breakfast. We will start the tour by picking you up from your accommodation and heading to Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring, located 90 km from Mexico City. Here, you will visit its impressive 16th-century cathedral, one of the first Franciscan constructions in Mexico, whose Indo-Christian style architecture will leave you amazed. After exploring the cathedral, you can enjoy a brief break to admire local handicrafts or savor a delicious coffee.

We will continue our journey by traveling 80 km to the charming city of Taxco, in the state of Guerrero, also known as the City of Silver. Here, you will explore a replica of a mine to understand the relevance of mining in the colonial period and its impact today. Taxco became one of the first mining centers over 400 years ago.

After the mine visit, you will enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant, where you can taste a variety of typical regional dishes. Next, you will walk along the picturesque cobblestone streets of Taxco, reaching the emblematic church of Santa Prisca, a dazzling example of Churrigueresque baroque architecture. Our guide will tell you the fascinating history of the church and its benefactor, considered the richest man in New Spain.

Take the opportunity to visit the numerous silver shops for which Taxco is famous, or simply enjoy 30 minutes of free time to explore before boarding our transportation back to Mexico City. This unique experience will provide you with an unforgettable glimpse into the rich history and culture of Mexico.

Day 6

Transfer from the hotel to the Mexico City Airport.

Breakfast.

To ensure a timely departure from the hotel to the Mexico City International Airport, our transfer will be available at the indicated time.

Please note that check-out time is no later than 12:00 pm.

Additionally, if your flight from Mexico City departs in the afternoon, we suggest taking advantage of the morning to visit some museums such as the Wax Museum or the Ripley's Museum. This way, you can enjoy your last morning in the city before heading to your destination.

How to book and pay?

To make a reservation, we need you to provide some personal information, such as your full name, cellphone number (preferably with WhatsApp), email address, and information about your arrival and departure flights, along with the exact dates of your trip. We also need to know the total number of people who will be traveling with you.

Once we have this information, we will send you a personalized quote. If the quote is approved, we will provide you with a PayPal or other digital payment platform link to make a payment of 30% of the package.

After you have made the payment, we will send you a detailed itinerary in PDF format that includes all relevant information about your trip.

The remaining payment will be made on the day of your arrival in Mexico City, in cash or by credit / debit card. If you have any questions or concerns during the booking process, our customer service team will be available to assist you.

Is the itinerary subject to change?

A: Yes, itineraries are subject to change and will depend on the day the contracted excursions operate. Before making a reservation, we will send you an itinerary based on the days you plan to travel.

Can I choose seats in the Van for my excursions?

A: No, seats are not assigned.

Do packages include admission to museums and places of interest?

A: Yes, as long as it is specified in the itinerary.

Is it recommended to travel with children to Mexico?

A: Yes, Mexico is a destination for the whole family.

Do I need a visa or passport to enter Mexico?

A: Citizens of some countries require a visa to enter our country, but the vast majority will only need their valid passport.

Is travel insurance required?

A: Travel insurance is not mandatory, but it is very important, especially for tourists who have chosen packages or routes with hikes or for practicing any adventure sports in the country.

What is the power outlet and voltage in Mexico?

A: In Mexico, the common voltage is 127 V. The frequency is 60 Hz. The plugs and outlets are type A/B.

What is the best currency to use in Mexico: US dollars or Mexican pesos?

A: Very few businesses accept payments in US dollars, so it is convenient to have Mexican pesos, as it is the most used currency in the country. It is ideal to carry a considerable amount of Mexican pesos with you.

Where can I exchange currencies?

We recommend that you exchange your money at the terminals of the Mexico City Airport, as the best exchange rate can usually be found there. While in the city, banks are recommended.

Can I use my credit or debit card for personal purchases?

A: Some debit and credit cards are also accepted for making purchases and paying for services.

 

Date changes:

In case of a change in travel date by the passenger, an administrative fee of 10% to 50% of the total value of the package will be charged, depending on the next date of their trip (subject to availability and policies of the suppliers).

 

Cancellation:

In case of cancellation of the trip by the passenger, Viewmextours will make the refund as follows:

Deducting the deposit commission and other expenses:

Up to 30 days before the travel date, there will be no penalty and the total value will be refunded to your bank account.

Up to 20 days before the travel date, the penalty is 10% of the total value of the package, plus expenses incurred by the agency.

Up to 10 days before the travel date, the penalty is 30% of the total value of the package, plus expenses incurred by the agency.

Less than 10 days before the travel date, the full value of the package will be retained.

Note: The agency will have a period of up to 60 business days to refund the money to the travel contractor, in accordance with the above conditions; counted from the date of the cancellation request.
